it’s a reissue?! fuck…i was convinced that it was some kind of divine intervention that made it possible for me to spot behind the counter a “used” copy of a piece of vinyl that has long eluded me…i came home…drank some beer and cracked open the record ready to return to 1987 by way of JMC’s darklands…i looked at the label and discovered this vinyl is a reissue and immediately the vessel that was firing up the engine shut down…no…not tonight…not like this…no reissue is ever gonna fill the hole…to return to 1987, i need 1987 craftsmanship….how did i not notice?! i was drunk on the cosmic story that seemed to be unfolding before my eyes….

holy phono-pre-amp people. i just upgraded my pre-amp to something about 6x the price, but also 6x the lift. postal service and downward spiral were my first test runs. good god…
